The Issue of Semantics in Theology

We can no longer effectively use the terms faith, church, love, hope and other concepts just because time and language have corrupted its original Biblical meaning without having to go through great lengths to qualify what they mean (especially what they mean Bibilically).

Even the terms omnipotence, omniscience, predestination, foreknowledge, fore-ordination now have to be qualified because of the corrupted view proposed by classical theologians.

We are not against their Hellenistic-based definitions. We simply argue that they cannot and MUST NOT use those definitions when teaching scriptural concepts precisely because a redefinition or re-qualification will always have to be in order.
