Faith is NOT a Gift of God

This is a prequel to the blog on "Sola Gracia is a False Gospel" which I  personally unapologetically confirm is a true biblical postulate. Sola Gracia is really a false version of biblical gospel truth. That is John Calvin's corruption of the Reformation message. No man is saved by grace alone. Instead man is save by grace THROUGH FAITH!

I realized that the proponents of Sola Gracia want to give all glory to God. But how can you give God glory when you partner with Satan in Scripture twisting and doctrinal deception? A gospel where salvation is a process where man does nothing is a false gospel. A gospel where God does everything to save man is a false gospel. This is NOT Pelagianism at all. Because without the grace of God, there is no salvation available in the first place. But what God has initiated by grace, man has to complete by faith. Otherwise there is no true salvation.

If God predetermines salvation for some or even offers prevenient grace at will, then when he chose Israel as the initial Kingdom of God, why didn't he exercise predeterminism nor prevenient grace on all of Israel. That way, we will not read in Scriptures that GOD WAS ANGRY WITH HIS OWN PEOPLE AND THREATENED MOSES TO ANNIHILATE ALL OF THEM TWICE IN THE TORAH. Fortunately, Moses PREVAILED in the arguments for both and GOD CHANGED HIS MIND (Exodus 32, Numbers 14). Why did God weep for King Saul and even regretted that GOD CHOSE SAUL to be king (1Samuel 15)???? Why did God regret that he created man when he saw how wicked they became??? (Genesis 6) Therefore, the mind of God is NOT FIXED nor CAN HE force prevenient grace on anyone. The completion of salvation is dependent on man's free will to chose God's way.

Faith, i.e, "saving faith" is not a gift of God in the sense that God gave it a to man prior to salvation. That does not make sense in any biblical precedent nor antecedent. It just cannot be supported. But this is the basis of "Sola Gracia" that grace is of God and faith is from God and therefore, salvation is entirely an act of God. Hogwash! Ironically, Sola Gracia comes from the hyper-Calvinist camp BUT Calvin himself in his exposition on Ephesians 2:8.9 declared that it is Salvation that is the gift of God, implying that it is NOT faith that is the gift, since grace already comes from God.

I adamantly disagree.  Faith is part of humanity. It came with man being created in God's image. It is NOT a special gift at all in the same way that my gender is NOT a special gift of God. I am male and to say that my being male is a special gift of God INSTANTLY DEGRADES womanhood, regardless of all illogical excuses and, yes, all the rationalizations would be illogical or irrational - total nonsense. That would imply quite clearly that all women are not special just by claiming that maleness is a special gift. Not at all, it came with your creation by God in the womb!

Faith is the same way. It is not a special gift. It is inherently created in man when he was created in God's image. All of humanity have the ability to exercise faith. The ability to exercise my faith any which way I choose is ENTIRELY my own decision and God has TOTALLY NOTHING to do with it. That is TRUE UNADULTERATED, UNPOLLUTED, GENUINE, BONAFIDE, FREE WILL! Any other version is NOT free will at all or any theologian trying to redefine it needs to drink more alcohol to make sense!

Grace is totally God's part in salvation but exercising saving faith is TOTALLY MAN'S FREE WILL PART in the covenant. That is the clear intent of Ephesians 2:8-9. And that is why NOT ALL MEN are saved! Precisely because of their faith response to God's grace.

So double predestination or predeterminism is totally unbiblical.
So is prevenient grace if those who propose it mean it is a special gift given prior to salvation. It would be just another flavor of predeterminism.

Both of the above versions of salvation is what pollute the gospel and confuses those who want to study it deeper.
