The Candy-coated Gospel is NO Gospel!!!
We cannot tell people to experience resurrection without telling them that they have to go through crucifixion first. All gospel and revival messages should always include:
NO CRUCIFIXION = NO RESURRECTION
NO RESURRECTION = NO SALVATION
Matthew 16:25-27
Mark 8:35-37
Luke 9:24-26
This is the heart of the gospel of Christ! All these words of Christ Himself say the same thing:
25 For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. 26 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul? 27 For the Son of Man is going to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay each person according to what he has done.
"Salvation is free". That is correct! "Salvation costs me nothing". That is utterly false gospel. Salvation will cost you your WHOLE LIFE!
AFTER true salvation, you can and should NEVER BE YOURSELF, you have to be Christ-like in focus, priority, thought, word and action. If not, you really haven't counted the cost of salvation and YOU MAY NOT BE SAVED AT ALL!
Of course, we do NOT have to work to be Christ-like. All we need is TOTAL SUBMISSION AND YIELDEDNESS of our body and soul to the LORDSHIP of Christ and transforming control of the Holy Spirit.
