THE MYSTERY OF THE APOSTOLIC CHURCH (Church following the tradition of the post-Apostolic fathers)
The "apostolic" Church can be likened to a multi-star Michelin restaurant.
The Bible is just the Menu. You may salivate just reading it but it's not the food yet.The Church is like the restaurant which serves the gourmet food and the "food" the church serves is the experience of the presence of God (gifts of the Spirit, presence of Christ in the Eucharist, peace of God which passes all understanding, the love of the Father, the grace of the Son and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. "For the kingdom of God is righteousness, and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit" Romans 14:17)
The difference is that the food is FREE compared to $300 to $500 per person!
IRONICALLY and TRAGICALLY, Most Christians today are simply contented with the Menu. But God created us and our redemption for the experience!
Think about that!
By the way, if your church does not NATURALLY demonstrate "righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit", most probably YOU ARE IN THE WRONG CHURCH!
