Salvation is Free. Sin is Costly!
To gain eternal life, one MUST be willing to suffer and die for Christ, the gospel and the kingdom of God. Otherwise, NO DEAL!
Spiritual Discipline is mostly self-effort toward holiness. Surrender and Submission to God is THE act of faith toward holiness!
Reformation is self-effort. Transformation is Holy Spirit effort.
The Old Testament is NOT about Law alone. The New Testament is NOT about grace alone. Law AND Grace are in both Old and New Testaments!
The first and only time God declared his character he abstained from talking about his sovereignty or how much he controls. Instead he declared his Love and Justice (Exodus 34:6-7). That tells us what is more important to God.
No one is filled with the Spirit by faith alone. Romans 6 declares that we need to be dead first before we can have the Romans 8 life. Otherwise we have to settle for the Romans 7 life!
The John 10:10 abundant life is not necessarily a life of prosperity. Instead it is a life completely delivered from bondage to the sin nature. We are no longer slaves of sin, but slaves of righteousness (Romans 6)
The SEAL of the Spirit is NOT invisible. A seal is for anyone to see and confirm. Anyone who claims to have the SEAL of the Spirit has to demonstrate it with his Christ-like life and behavior!
The New Testament gospel is not about justification by faith. That is available even in the Old Testament since there are provisions for sin. The New Testament gospel is about freedom from bondage to the sin nature through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit!
